Final Video Project

Image
This is my video for music. I really thought that the mash of images and videos were cool. It was slightly challenging because I haven't ever really done a project like that or had much practice in editing. The parts of the video that are crazy with the lights and movement are my favorite it just looks so alive and I feel like it's ironic if you listen to the lyrics of the song what they images are so you can translate the meaning in many ways depending. I felt like to me it meant even if you feel overwhelmed there is always going to be points in life that you can just let loose.

Performance Artists

Lindsey Stirling-  Lindsey Stirling is an American violinist, dancer, performance artist, and composer. She presents choreographed violin performances, both live and in music videos found on her YouTube channel, Lindsey Stirling, which she introduced in 2007. Stirling performs a variety of music styles, from classical to pop and hip-hop to electronic dance music. Aside from original work, her discography contains covers of songs by other musicians and various soundtracks. So she uses more traditional sense of technology with her own use of an instrument which I found pretty cool.  Peaches-  Merrill Beth Nisker, better known by her stage name Peaches, is a Canadian electronic musician and performance artist who lives in Berlin, Germany. Her songs are noted for disregarding traditional gender norms, and for their use of lyrics. She plays her own instruments for her songs, programs her own electronic beats, and produces her own albums. Her songs have been featured in movies such as Mean

Music

|Dubstep| Dubstep to me is the best type of music to listen to at a music festival. I love listening to this genre of music when I'm in a crowd just turnt and crazy that's kind of the feel of dubstep to me. This is a link to one of Skrillex music videos for "Kill Everybody", I actually saw him live at Lollapalooza in Chicago a couple years ago so he is an artist that sticks out to me in this genre.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F21aifX0lZY |Techno| I don't listen to much techno music on the regular but there are certain videos I find entertaining like the link I provided for this movie that has techno music as effect. The video paired with the music gives it a whole new feel compared to the classic Disney story. I have seen other short videos like this that I like a lot that are more on IG that are trippy edits with similar music overlapped.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WddpRmmAYkg |Latin World| I like to listen to some music in Spanish an such, reg

Performance Art

Image
This is my performance art piece. The message I wanted to send with this is that creativity is in everyone even if they don't think so and we should embrace it more. Many people during their normal week day wouldn't ever think about painting. Painting for me is very therapeutic and relaxing, it lets me get my emotions out on to something physical. I actually had a lot of fun during this experience, so many different people contributed for the end result it was pretty amazing. I even had people asking me if I would be back next week, saying we need more people doing things like this.

Opt Illusion Hands

Image
This is my Xerox project, it's called "Life". I choose to fashion my hands in this type of optical illusion in a spiral because it symbolizes my life. How there are many feelings and emotions can be felt through my day and how they can change. This is represented through the position my hands are in. The open hand kinda of meaning like welcoming and happy, the peace sign as content, and the scrunched up one as struggle or challenge. I thought it looked really cool in the end with the use of different shades of black and white. The fingers in the middle I thought just looked cool I didn't have a specific meaning for them but as I'm looking at it now it kind of looks like a compass in the hand or something. I added the light in the second picture to give it a cool filter.

ASll Art

This website was surprisingly interesting. At first when I read what ASII art is it made me think back in grade school when everyone used to try to make little characters or faces to send to each other. The ones on this site are all types of styles though. Some are extremely simple while others are so detailed and I could imagine they take a while to create. I think it's really cool that the creator just allows people to just copy the designs to their clip board and use them anywhere they want. They literally have so many categories to go through as well as a couple tutorials to be able to create yourself.                )              (  _ ___________ ) [_[___________#   jgs Some of the art pieces I liked when exploring was the category for Egyptian there were a lot of cool designs there. I also really enjoyed all the dragon ones like this one I posted at the bottom. There were also so many animal options so of course I had to go to dogs first.  There was a really cute huski

Grid Assignment

Image
This is my grid art It says "Real Eyes, Realize, Real Lies" which as you say it can see all sound so similar it's as if your saying one while you say the other. I used more white on the gradient effect towards the bottom to symbolize white lies. I used paint and pieces of paper I hand cut to act as individual pixels. I think the end result turned out pretty decent, I just really like using paints so it was nice to be able to use whatever I wanted.
